MNRA - North Liberty/Iowa City

MNRA - North Liberty/Iowa City, 2/24 8:30 AM
Yesterday's warm sun significantly degraded snow cover in open areas and in hillsides facing south, exposing many areas of the classic track.
Skating: Catastrophic damage caused by dogs and pedestrian traffic on the skating trails, coupled with last night's freeze, made grooming skate trails tenuous, and only a light topical brushing was possible. Still, the skate trails are in good condition overall.
Classic: Due to the thin snow base and warm temperatures, the classic track was not groomed and reset. Rock skis recommended. The classic track is in poor to ok condition, depending on the area, but still possible.  Cabel
